Cornwall Beach
Countryside and Beaches
.
Did you know that there are over 300 beaches in Cornwall alone? Because of this, there is so much sea air to enjoy – and there are some stunning views to be seen from the Tregoad Park resort. Our 55-acre ground offers plenty of room for exploration, and we even have designated dog-walking routes and a well-stocked carping lake for hobbyists.

An interesting fact about Cornwall is that 80% of it is surrounded by water, and the county boasts one of the longest coastline stretches on the British Isles at a staggering 697 km. Even more impressively, you are never more than 16 miles away from the sea while in Cornwall – so there’s no excuse not to visit the beach! Some of the marinas and beaches here have been awarded the coveted Blue Flag, a sign of quality that an area is well-maintained, and recognised as one of the best beaches in the world.

In addition to countryside, there is plenty of horticulture to admire that extends beyond the Eden Project. Commonly described as the ‘garden capital of the world’, Cornwall has stunning plant life and greenery for everyone to enjoy. Whether you are on the lookout for a sanctuary that’s dog-friendly, child-friendly, historical or at the waterside, you’re never far away from your perfect retreat.

Cornwall has even been distinguished as an area of outstanding natural beauty – sectioned into 12 areas for their individual merit. Why not visit the Camel Estuary, famous for its low-tide valley that offers habitual space for wildlife? Or, alternatively, why not visit the Lizard Peninsula, a place which offers the opportunity to discover settlements from the Bronze Age?
